Revealed in 2006 by the contest “Young Talented Producers” organized by Joachim Garraud (David Guetta’s producer) that he won, Dim Chris gets since then a non-stop growing success.
Thanks to numerous tracks released on known labels such as PoolEmusic (Antoine Clamaran’s Label), Cyper Prod, Unlove Records (Greece), Blowmedia (Hatiras’ label, Canada) or Stoneyboy Music (Stonebridge’s Label, Sweden) and getting excellent feedbacks on remixes he did for different artists of the Parisian club scene; Dim Chris is getting more and more famous among the French and the International scene.
At the beginning of 2007, he is sought by some of the most respected French Electronic Music medias: FG Dj Radio (former Radio FG) and Fun Radio where he was invited and presented as a new talent.
In April 2007, Dim Chris signs “French Kiss” on the famous French Independant label: DJ Center Records, and more especially on a sub-division: Paradise Recordings, getting his name alongside very famous artists such as David Vendetta, Kurd Maverick, Roger Sanchez, John Dahlback, Chris Lake, …
But “French Kiss” was only the first tense of a more global movement: the following track “Sucker” did get top charted on FG Dj Radio. No more clue was needed for FG DJ Radio to decide to take Dim Chris in its resident dj pool that have the privilege to be broadcasted once a week on the main club and house music French radio station (www.radiofg.com). But the story doesn’t stop here with “Sucker”: Dj Center and Virgin decided to release it as a CD Single and the result is overwhelming : better charted than the big French “traditional” high sellers (Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, David Vendetta, …), he reached the TOP 15 CD Sales for 15 weeks, with the best position N°5, quite a phenomena if you at the other artists in the same chart : Madonna, Rihanna, etc.. Straight after, he’s been asked to do a remix for Moby’s new single to be out soon: “Disco Light”.
Since then, famous “names” such as Stonebridge, Pete Tong or Judge Jules are playlisting and supporting Dim via their Radio Show.
During Summer of the year (2008), Dim was part of the Party Fun Tour (tour organized by FUN RADIO, N°2 national radio for young listeners), and was touring at the same time a lot in France and abroad (Belgium, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Reunion Island, french riviera, Luxembourg, Russia, …).
Still during 2008 his productions and remixes are signed by DJ Center abroad on prestigious labels : Pickadoll, Time (Italy), Vendetta Records (Spain), News (Benelux), Net’s Work (Italy), Blowmedia (Canada), etc, etc….
His next single “Self Control” (co-produced by Thomas Gold) was instantly airplayed on Fun Radio in the TOP 40, and is largely supported by other radios around, as well as by djs such as Laurent Wolf who is preparing a remix of the track to be release very soon in mp3 shops.
Then Dim released “Change the World” with Kaysee as a singer, moving on a more sweet production, Dim shows another side of his talent. Monthly resident on FUN RADIO (N°2 national radio for music in France), Dim gets more and more famous and goes to play all around abroad: Moscow, Riga, Miami Winter conference (Dream Club), Tijuana-Mexico, Odessa, etc…
Dim had then lots of remixes proposals and he recently did one for Joachim Garraud (“The Answer”), one for Micah and Schmitz (“Rush”, on Robbie Rivera’s Label), one for Ron Carroll & Superfunk (Lucky Star 2009).
At the same time he was releasing in collaboration with Sebastien Drums “Sometimes I Feel” on Joia/Nero Records, well played by Albin Myers, Avicii, Eddy Cabrera, …
His last Original Release “Love Can’t Get You Wrong” was as well instantly air played by Fun Radio and stayed the whole 2009 summer on the radio, the track was played around 250 times in 2 months!
The remix pack of that track is on the way with a remix of superstar Ron Carroll, Afrojack and Abel Ramos (2 of the most “bankable” remixers at the time…)
The story is to continued….
Dim is always mixing with a positive attitude, interacting with the public, adapting himself to the crowd, he’s getting them to dance to their maximum!
